Q & A

What Types of Pets Do You Groom?

I groom everything from Dogs and cats to Bunnies and Guinea Pigs! Cats and dogs can schedule nail trims, baths, haircuts and more, while smaller pets are limited to nail trims and brush outs.

Do You Offer Skunk Baths?

Yes, I offer skunk baths as emergency dog grooming (booking automatically puts you at the top of my waitlist). If you got your dog wet after the skunk spray, I unfortunately may not be able to help you as wetting a pup's coat can close their pores, locking in the skunk scent.

Do You Offer Flea Baths?

I unfortunately do not offer flea baths as a regular service. Special appointments can be arranged by sending an email to savreneak@gmail.com pending availability.

How Do You Keep From Making a Mess in My Home?

I use a combination of techniques to keep your home as clean as possible while performing grooming services. These include using a drain hair trap to keep your tub unclogged and clean, a small indoor tent to keep hair contained while drying your pet, and my own rug and disposal bin for hair during haircuts and brush outs.

How Do You Handle Anxious Pets?

Because my focus is on lessening anxiety through low-restraint grooming, I work with your pet to get things done at the speed that they are most comfortable with. Because of this I've found that grooming takes a bit longer but each pet is left with as little stress as possible. Of course, grooming is a naturally uncomfortable and sometimes scary process, but I am always aiming to get their groom done with as little stress as possible (sometimes meaning taking things slow, asking parents to leave the room, or trying a different technique than I'm used to so that they are more at ease).

Do You Do Creative Haircuts & Grooms?

I do a variety of specialty cuts such as lion cuts, dinosaur cuts, lamb cuts, mohawks, and more. I also offer hair dying services, nail polish, and feather extensions by request (these services require a one-week notice to ensure that I have the colors that you'd like)
